Archdiocese of New York Drug and Alcohol Prevention Program
Dear Aquinas Families,
We are pleased to announce that Marjorie Gulenyan, a counselor/social worker from ADAPP, will be providing services to our school for the 2019-20 academic year. ADAPP is the school-based student assistance program within the Department of Education of the Archdiocese of New York. Our school is very fortunate to have a counselor and the service.
The ADAPP counselor will be available on Wednesdays each week. The service includes drug and alcohol prevention education, crisis intervention, as well as group and individual educational counseling. The purpose of the program is to help students to develop positive life skills and foster healthy life choices. The ADAPP counselor will work closely with the school staff and me and is available to help parents with information and referral.
The counselor was introduced to all families at our Parent Organization Meeting on Thursday, October 3, at 6:00 PM. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
