Message from the Principal, Covid-19 Update

Dear Aquinas family and friends,

I pray you and yours are healthy and safe during this world-challenging Covid-19 pandemic. At Aquinas, we are using Google Classroom Applications, FACTS Student Information Systems, and every available technology to support our faculty, staff and students in this revolutionary era of remote-learning, social distancing and personal isolation. Thank you for the generous gifts that have allowed us to update and grow our technology, and thank you for the encouraging words and thoughtful actions that have sustained us spiritually and emotionally to date.

As you know, this unpredictable crisis is causing devastating economic hardships for everyone, some of them overwhelming. A growing number of Aquinas families are being forced to choose between their rent payments and their daughter’s Catholic Dominican education. When families are unemployed, waiving late fees is hardly an adequate solution. Yet, as one of the remaining Bronx Catholic Schools for Girls, we are irrevocably dependent upon tuition and fees.

In your communications, many of you have asked, how can I help? In response, if you are in a place of giving during this time of need, please consider contributing to our Covid-19 fund. All donations will be used to aid students and their families who have been affected, Donate Here!

Thank you again for your contributions, prayers and encouragement. Through your consistent efforts and sacrifices, we hope to flatten the curve that threatens our Aquinas Community, and more importantly, our World.
