INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

The primary purpose of the extended day music curriculum is to provide an opportunity for students to learn and expand their knowledge of strings, percussion, and keyboards as members of the String Orchestra and Marching Band. Students can earn course credit in the program by attending classes twice each week throughout the academic year. Participation in performances is required. Courses include:

Instrumental Music 1 (1 Unit)
Instrumental Music 2 (1 Unit)
Instrumental Music 3 (1 Unit)
Instrumental Music 4 (1 Unit)

All musically capable and talented students are encouraged to participate in either the String Orchestra or Marching Band. Membership in these performing groups provides ideal activities for enrichment and appreciation of music. Additionally, students may consider some aspect of music as a potential career.
