Human Physiology is an introductory course, for students considering health careers or who have an interest in the human body. The course will focus on the normal functioning of the human body and its systems and how these systems maintain overall homeostasis.   Students will explore how both the structure and functions of these systems are continually altered by disease, environmental interactions and lifestyle over our lifespan; and how lifestyle choices, both positive and negative, influence the functioning of our body systems.  The course will encourage students to apply their growing knowledge of physiology to case studies and real-world situations, encountered by health professionals and scientists.
