This second regents course in the New York State Mathematics sequence approaches congruence, similarity, and symmetry from the perspective of geometric transformations. Traditional topics of plane and solid geometry, as well as trigonometry of the right triangle and the general triangle are included. The correspondence between numerical coordinates and geometric points allows methods from algebra to be applied to geometry and vice versa. The Geometry (Common Core) Regents exam will be administered in June. (1 Unit)
PRE-REQUISITES: R-H. Algebra 1 Regents and approval of Mathematics Department is required.
