SACRAMENTS AS A PRIVILEGED ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS

 
This unit is designed to assist young people understand and value that they can encounter Christ today in a full and real way in and through the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Students will study the Sacramental nature of the Church. They will become familiar with the essential elements of all Sacraments. Students will explore the real Presence within each of the Sacraments as well as the distinctive elements of the Sacraments of Initiation, the Sacraments of Healing, and the Sacraments of Vocation.
 

LIFE IN JESUS

 
This unit is designed to help young people understand that it is only through Christ that they can fully live out God’s plan for their lives. The Ten Commandments are presented as guideposts to living as children of God. Students are introduced to the moral concepts and precepts and other laws of the Church that guide them in living as Christ’s disciples. Students will study the means of living out lives according to God’s plan. The moral concepts and precepts that govern the lives of disciplines of Christ will be explored and learned.
